Apparently, what I’ve said about the UWO arrest of 22 year-old student Irnes Zeljkovic is making some headway. To quote a good friend, Omar Ha-Redeye, “it’s generating some good ‘Google Juice.’”
Here is a list of sites where my post has been mentioned:

Law Is Cool! Where it generated a number of comments
Last night (Thursday Oct 15) Jeff McArthur from the “McArthur In The Morning” from London’s own AM980 contacted me about going on the show. I politely declined, since I have never done a radio show before, but more importantly, it was right before I had to be in class today. Would have loved to have helped Jeff out, but school’s first.
Fortunately, thanks to come wonderful connections with Law Is Cool, I was contacted by CFRB1010 in Toronto, which is the country’s largest News/Talk station, to discuss my views on the Jim Richard’s show (Thanks to Jim and Britt!)
I maintain that I believe the officer who used the baton had other options available to him, and that I think he choice the wrong option, but I also made sure that I stated that I thought the rest of it was acceptable. As I said before, these sorts of situations are very dynamic and policing is a dirty job. It is also important for me to point out that police officers are human and are bound to make mistakes. I know I did when I was one, but learning from them, growing, and making yourself a better person (whether personally or professionally) is key.
We shall see where this story goes. I wish the best to all involved.
